Hailing from the vibrant streets of Oakland, PassWurdz, also known as Pass, has transcended his roots to become a cornerstone of the Bay Area's music and arts community. From humble beginnings to becoming a staple on global stages, PassWurdz's journey is one that echoes with resilience, artistry, and an unwavering passion for his craft.
At the tender age of 15, PassWurdz ignited his journey, making a name for himself in local Hip-Hop scenes with his fiery freestyle prowess. His innate ability to craft verbal masterpieces set him apart, earning him respect and recognition among peers and mentors alike. As he carved his path in the Bay Area's musical landscape, PassWurdz's journey was destined to be anything but ordinary.
PassWurdz's talent soon took him to grander stages, where he would establish himself as a battle rap legend. From the United States to international arenas in London, Sweden, and Canada, PassWurdz's lyrical prowess became a force to be reckoned with. He not only participated in major rap tournaments but thrived, emerging as a finalist in a 48-person national battle rap competition, competing for a coveted $100k prize.
While the battle rap scene recognized his name, PassWurdz's artistry isn't confined by competition. He's a songwriter and recording artist at his core, a creator who weaves stories that touch hearts and challenge norms. As one-half of the duo AnmlPlnt and a collaborator within Grand Nationxl, PassWurdz's lyrical palette is vast and versatile, crafting music that ranges from introspective admissions to unapologetic self-confidence.
In a testament to his evolution, PassWurdz recently released his solo effort, "Flowers." This project, which hepherded by the Grand Nationxl team and musically directed by Bryan Simmons of Fantastic Negrito, is an exploration of vulnerability and resilience. With singles like "No Hard Feelings" and "Momma Proud," PassWurdz ventures into the realm of self-discovery, threading together a narrative that resonates on both personal and universal levels.
